Looking to do a few days in Boston (USA not UK) and want a central hotel to stay at. Anyone got any ideas/experiences with any?

When my work takes me to Beantown, I use the Westin at Copley Place. It's convenient for everything central, close - but not too close to Logan and is connected to the big mall.
Westin "Heavenly Beds" are right comfy too.

The Lenox in the Back Bay area, very close to Copley Square, the Public Library, Newbury Street, Prudential Centre etc or Bostonian Millennium (sic) at Quincy Market.

If you stay at the Millennium do not have their breakfast - literally over the road is Quincy Market with 70+ eateries of all descriptions. The Freedom Trail runs almost outside the door too and the Italian North End is a short 10 minute walk.

I stayed here and couldn't fault it, http://www.ninezero.com was a few years ago though. Right on Boston Common.

another thumbs up for Nine Zero. But if your budget will stretch check out Boston Harbor Hotel...and it's not far to walk from the wharfs into the centre, maybe 10 minutes through the financial district.

Stayed at the Lenox last year - it was very good, in an old fashioned way. Would definately go back.
