Folks,

My friend and I are heading down to Brum today for a kit car show on sunday.

Could anyone recommend any decent hostels or cheapish rooms in the area for tonight? Tomorrow night a friend can put us up but we are fko'd for tonight.

Many thanks

nite nite hotels. tiny little room with 42 inch plasma. You need one each BTW!!!! only 40 or 50 quid, near new st station. Be warned, the room is a cabin room, but it does the job great!

Or theres the etap. Also dirt cheap but pokey/an example of space efficient design.

If you can share a room. But they are very tiny. Just a double bed, a 42 inch plasma and a wet room.

Not stayed in either of these, but with the chain, you can't go to far wrong.

Holiday Inn city centre £50, and any one of the Weatherspoons for a cheap fry up/pint.

Or there's a Holday in Express near Castle Bromwich by the Jaguar plant, £40. It's got a bar, pub next door, or the Star City complex down the road for bars, casino, cinema etc. If you like snooker, there's 'Breaks snooker club' which is a half mile taxi ride up the road. If you like fighting, you could always walk through the Castle Vale estate to get there smile You can jump back on the motorway from there or up the collector road.

Free movies atm. I don't think it covers the porn....but it does have a 10 min free preview, if your quick wink

I assume you mean the kit car show at Stoneleigh Park?
If so, it's a good 30 minute drive from the middle of Brum so do you necessarily want to stay there? Might be cheaper to stay out of town?

As Birmingham is quite a big Village there is everything from a Bail Hostel/Hotel on the Hagley Road for £15 up to the Raddisson at £250ish.

All the chains are here but if you are going to Stoneleigh then maybe the Holiday Inn next to the M40 at Warwick would be more handy?

If it's drinking/dancing/fast fooding ... Then get yourself up to Broad Street.

That said, I'm a scum bag & drink in Hennesseys next to Digbeth police station.

However, this Saturday I'm heading south to Reading beer festival to get myself in a suitable condition for watching B'ham City play football smile

Have a good time in Brum

Don't forget to tune your tv into the channel that's connected to the camera above the city. Awesome view!

Enjoy the show!
