I have a Geman friend who plans visiting central London in mid June & is interested in staying in a (roughly) 4 star hotel. Family includes wife, husband & 2 year old son. Any ideas?

Just stayed at the Novotel at Grenwich[is that central enough?] 2 weeks ago. Very nice - only cost £89 a night.

Four of us (we got a double bed and two singles).

I recently spent a few weeks in Umi Hotel in Bayswater. Superb service and a quiet but very central location off Queensway. A triple in there would be about £129 a night and doubles about £90 a night. The star rating might be slightly on the low side depending on what your friend wants though.

Somewhere like Space or Grand Plaza Hyde Park are 4* options with triples around £125-135.

If you want me to take a look at some exact prices, just drop me an email smile

Top Secret hotels on lastminute.com

Have stayed at some really nice spots, biggest bargain being the Millennium in Grosvenor Square for £100 a night.
