Anybody been?
Suggested resort?

Don't want to go somewhere that is swamped by kids.

I've seen some places operate all day creches should we want them (right now, mealtimes are the main problem)

Thanks!

Avoid anywhere with water bungalows - they don't tend to have anything to stop you falling in!

Good point! Probably more relevant to me after an evening on the wine...

We went to Reethi Rah with a two and a half year old and will go back this year with a three and a half year old and a six month old. Avoid a water villa or a pool villa and it's perfect. Nice, large, secluded pool villa with its own wide beach. Kids' club open all day (although we only used it for an hour or two a day and baby-sitters at night (same one every night for two weeks last time). With the baby, we'll use a baby-sitter in the villa if my wife wants to dive.

There were other kids on the island, but it's so uncrowded that you never feel overwhelmed by kids. There is a pool in the Kids' Club and one of the other pools can be used by kids, but another is adults only.

ETA the staff are wonderful with young children. I can't think of a single exception.

Looks wonderful!

Any all inclusive options, I assume that's the way to do it?

We went half board. I think they may offer full board as well. Given you can't really go anywhere else, they've got you for lunch anyway.

I see they employ pony tailed saxophonists behind the bar.

Does he supply the drinks before or after you've explained that you're there on your jollies, not as some errant band seeking employ as models in a Lexus quarterly mag? hehe

Andrew - we went to Reethi Beach in January...it's a small island and there was one or two kids...I don't think you'll be swamped by kids on any island. Also the chefs wife has a 3/4 yr old who wonders around the island.

10mins to walk all the way around, so small and safe I would be happy to go back with my 3yr old.

The island has 140 rooms and 300 staff! Not that you notice any of them until you need something. It is A.I. and the food is out of this world.

It comes HIGHLY recomended!

Top class. When it first opened there were complaints about the lack of reef life and cloudy water, but the water is now clear and the reef is full of life. You can watch stingrays swim around in front of you at breakfast, as they come into shore to bask in the sun.

There is a downside: it is expensive.
