Brittany

Looking at going next month for 5 days (Thursday to Monday) and need ideas.

Taking th ecar and its a cheap and Cheerful trip so looking at camping.

Ideally I would like some nice places to visit as well as some nice beaches so Brittany seems like the obvious choice but I have no experience of the area.

Any suggestions of where to go / stay?

Carnac is a lovely seaside town with some pretty amazing megalithic structures nearby. Obelix was busy We stayed here which was pretty good despite having a few UK camping holiday reps about IYSWIM. It's close to town and the beach.

If you're after an overnight spot the Rennes municipal site is brilliant. It's set in a park with lakes and a farm and Rennes itself is worth a stop. It's a couple of hours from Cherbourg.
