I'm looking for a reasonable hotel on the East side of Lake Como - driving from Bolzano to Milan and want to stay a night.

I've seen a few nice places on the West side but nothing on the East.

Budget would be around 200 euros for a night so should get a 4 or 5 star for that I would have thought.

Thanks in advance.

Don't forget that there are ferries across the lake - might make life easier?

I did think about that but we have a very busy schedule and I wanted to make it as easy as possible.

This is our belated honeymoon - we got married in Feb, not the best time for Italy, so we delayed until June.

Here's our itnierary so far.

Fly to Rome.

1 night Rome

3 nights Sienna

1 night Florence

2 nights Genoa

1 night Parma

1 night Verona

1 night Venice

2 nights Bolzano

1 night Lake Como

1 night Milan

Fly back.

Going to be a busy couple of weeks but the distances aren't too long so we can take the drives easy.

Trying to see if I can hire a Fezza on the Parma - Venice stretch so I can take in Modena & Bologna in style smile

Hotel du Lac, Varenna

The website doesn't do it justice - look on Tripadvisor.

Lovely, thanks.

I'll have a closer look when I'm back home.

Sent off booking request - exactly where I was looking.

Many thanks smile

Would suggest less Genoa and more Florence, unless you are visiting friends IMHO
