Can anyone recommend a good policy for pregnant women? We are traveling to Malta on my wife's 20th week and we are expecting twins. After reading through quite a few policy wordings we appear to be just on a cut off point for most insurers.

edit Pregnancy! sorry.

If you declare it then some of them might quote anyway.
Malta is part of the EU though, so make sure you've got EHIC's and that'll cover any treatment the need for which arises during the visit.
If she does need any care whilst there, they'll be hard pushed to claim it's health tourism given she's so early on.

Obviously an EHIC won't cover any cancellation costs or unanticipated return travel, but if you chat to insurers and say that most of the cost of healthcare should be covered by the EHIC then the risk they are covering should be fairly low so they shouldn't ramp the quote up too much.
