Mexico...recommend me a hotel
Discussion
I spent 2 weeks at the El Dorado Royale last May which is about 15-20 mins south of Cancun
and would highly recommend it. It's adults only, all inclusive very peaceful and the food is amazing - Masterchef kind of stuff if your into that. I do plan to go back at some point.

I've also heard good reviews of the Riu hotels in Cancun but haven't been myself.

Also Blue Bay Grand Esmarelda was nice, its same area as the rest about half an hour from Cancun, just before Playacar/Playa del Carmen.
Playacar seemed to be an entire holiday village - the whole thing was hotels, holiday apartments, bars, restaurants & shops. Alternatives are Playa del Carmen which used to be a small town but is now a reasonable size tourist town, with most the hotels around 5th Avenue where the tourist shops, pubs & clubs etc are. Most the other hotels are then spread out along the coast line between there and Cancun.
