What hotel for scafell pike?
Discussion
Wasdale Head Inn is at the base of the shortest and steepest route up it, not sure if they do accomodation any more though. I've done the top and back in 2 hours from there (with a few fell runners).
New and Old Dungeon Ghyll hotels in Langdale are fairly convenient.
If you're after some luxury, stay at the Drunken Duck Inn (near Hawkshead, google it) and drive over to Langdale for the walk (15 min drive). The OH and I stayed there for a couple of nights last week - excellent hotel.
Edit: errant apostrophe!

There is a fantastic hotel called The Brook House Inn. It has its own menu for their whisky selection and the food was fantastic, I recommend the lamb. Its only down the road from the river Esk which leads you to Scarfell Pike.

Also here's some pictures I took while walking along the Esk.
