Emigration specialist?
Discussion
Not wishing to be nosey or anything, but a little more info could help me to make some suggestions with people who really know what they are doing.
Are you looking to immigrate (i.e. seek permanent resident alien status)? Or are you looking to obtain a (non-resident) work visa?
There is a big difference - and a whole different skill-set requirement.
If you would rather send a PM, I'll give you some contacts.

I used Visaplus, based in London.
They were great, you have to pay for them to review your case up front, but after they do that, they will tell you all of your options and the next steps that are available to you.
It made life really easy for me, and they let you know what paperwork you need and even help you with what to take to your interview, when you get there.
There may be cheaper places out there, but these people really know their stuff

That's their website, One last thing, go for it, I have never regretted it, and last yeah I got my permanent residence status, just my citizenship to go in 2.5 years.
If you have any other questions just ask

Can anyone recommend an emigration specialist or lawyer with a good knowledge of US visas?
Thanks
Be a bit more precise and maybe some of us can help. Thanks

Andy, how long ago did you use visaplus?
It has taken them almost 5 weeks to tell me I should apply for a tourist visa (and the charge for this is a bit steep).
So no chance of going away in June as planned.
Any more opinions/experiences?
Anyone who tells you that you need a tourist visa to use as a vehicle, when you are planning to emigrate is a fraud. It has taken them almost 5 weeks to tell me I should apply for a tourist visa (and the charge for this is a bit steep).

Changing status with a tourist visa as a start-point is extremely risk-laden and difficult to accomplish - more so now than ever before.
