Round the World Flights - Recomendations
Discussion
Guys,
Not sure if anyone on here works within the travel industry, but Im looking at booking a RTW ticket for Sept 09 - Aug 2010 and was wandering if anyone has any recomendations?
Planning on Flying from UK to New York, Fiji, N.Zealand, into Melboune, out of Perth, Singapore, Bangkok and back home.
Also, any suggestions of good, reliable travel insurance would be much appriciated!

OneWorld Alliance (BA, Cathay etc) should be able to do that one. I booked mine through Trailfinders :
LHR - Toronto
(LA - Vegas
Vegas - SF) (I cancelled those two whilst there as I had already bought a car and then bought a new ticket from LA to Peru once I'd sold it).
Chile - NZ
NZ - Australia
Australia - Phils - HK - Japan - China
India - Thailand
Thailand - Europe.
(the different destinations/departures meant I went overland in between).
Only got as far as NZ before I ran out of cash though Did take me 8 months to do that first half though.
ETA - that one cost me 2,800 all in (ie including airport taxes). I was also able to change the post-NZ sections into a single flight back to the UK for 250 NZD.

Cheers Graham, that sounds like one hell of a trip.....! Can see me running out of cash half way too, but it beats being skint over here I guess!
Just spoke to trailfinders on the way home from work and they quoted roughly 1500 quid incl. taxes (obviously not as many stops as you had..!). Going to have a another ring round tommorow, any more advise of anyone much appriciated!
