5 years ago..beautiful. Go to plaza Major. big park ?.museum..royal palaces..cant remember all names...but very nice.

Plaza Major is O.K. but watch out for pickpockets always there.
Prado Museum for art.
The most Tapas bars are down by the University & cheap as well and also near to the Theatres.

We went to the Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, The Retiro Park ... but mainly we wandered about eating tapas, drinking beer and looking at the architecture.

We also ended up wandering into the gay district by accident but everyone was dead friendly.

They like to party well into the early hours at the weekend is what I remember.

Went there on a stag weekend a couple of years back.

Remember the cable car (to a bar somewhere), remember the Royal Palace (with bars nearby), remember the Bernabeu, remember the less salubrious areas of the city with, er, dancing ladies...

The rest is a little 'fuzzy'..
