Me and a few mates are off to Berlin for a long weekend in a few weeks time, and was wandering if anyone had any reccomendations on what to do / see while we're there?

Also, what sort of weather should we be expecting in mid March over there?

Weather about the same as southern England. While there you might as well see Checkpoint Charlie (very touristy though). Go to the VW building and oogly some cars. See the Bradenburg Gate, lots of museums and the opera house is nice. There is also a big tower you can go up and get a good view of the whole city but I cannot remember the name of it though. Oh and get a travel card as they are very cheap and public transport is excellent

Love Berlin - favourite city in the world.

It will be colder than the UK.

Oranienburger Strasse is great for nightlife; all night bars, clubs, food etc.

Go there during the day and it's deserted. Really comes alive late on.

ETA: Nearest 'U' station is Oranienburger Tor

If you're flying in, take your Biggles hat and goggles.

Pass through customs/arrivals with arms outspread humming the theme tune to Dambusters.

Trust me, I worked in Germany for over a year, those zany Jerries will love it!

The women. Some of the hottest girls I have ever encountered appear to live in some of the city's (excellent) clubs.

JOIN THE PUB CRAWL!

One of the best night outs EVAH

Pay a small fee to get free beer to start with, get shots in between establishments and discounts inside... meet lots of interesting people too (locals and ourists)

I've forgotten where it congregates... There's a free berlin tours thing which meets at the main square at certain times... you'll find out about it there...

Isn't this about the right time for the koln festival, can't remember the name of it. Three day event, fancy dress, dark beer when even their police smile.

Possible Berlin could have it's own version.

Chap - Berlin has one of the best late night bar, club and music scenes in Europe. With commensurately pretty people.

I mean, I had to use rohypnol and everything.

You live in Munich? Another great city! Are the women generally fit (saw a few, but nothing exceptional...)? This is important when picking a city, I feel.
