There are Hurricanes there at the moment. Spoke to my mate yesterday.
Right. Great. Way to ruin a happy thread Mickken.
OK Ignoring the fact surrounding my imminent death, anything else?

You might want to make a trip out to the Malibu Factory. If you do don't get confused between the 'rasta boys' and the other's running the wave runner franchises on the beach there. My mate and I did and nearly started a full scale war. Glad we sided with the rasta boys though, the rest of the afternoon was most chilled
Take your license and hire a mini-moke. Best way to see the island.
Go over to the wild east coast and watch the surfers.
See the plantations.
Goto 'Lone Star', another great resturant.
Also, all beaches are public beaches and not allowed to be private, so take a walk along the coast in front of 'Sandy Lane' and do some celeb spotting. (keeps the missus happy)
Play golf at the Royal Westmorland.
Take a speedboat trip to see the turtles and do some snorkeling.
Buy some Alovera in a whiskey bottle from a beach trader. (great for sun drenched skin)
Find out it smells like BO and throw it away.
Goto see a game of cricket in Bridgetown.
Take US dollars, dont worry about barbados dollars, you wont need any.
Have fun.

There were NO hurricanes.
Recommend the Sandpiper hotel and Sandy Lane restaurant.
Lovely island.
Only downside is the number of Brit tourists there, bit like Knightsbridge-on-Carribean.
The Cliff is very good, as are Lone Star, Carambola, The Tides, La Mer, Il Tempio, Calabaza and Daphne's. THere are also some great informal places dotted about, we went to some hidden away place called The Garden, run by a family.. was a night they don't normally open but they opened just for us. The mid west coast (the St James and St Peter areas) is where the best restaurants are, generally. On the more rugged East Coast there's a great (informal) place called the Round House as far as I recall.
Sandy Lane is an expensive hotel but the restaurant isn't highly rated so didn't try it

Hiya
I hope you have a nice time, despite the possibility of adverse weather......
I can recommend "Blue Rare" in Holetown (T: 246-432-6557), if you want the best steak in the West Indies!! Speak to Paoula (owner) and she will really look after you!! (Say Scott and Leyla say Hi too!!!!!)
Also "The fishpot" restaurant is great for a romantic meal overlooking the sea at sunset and beyond. Great menu and excellent service. It is owned by a chap (Andrew?) who owns runs the delightful Little Good Harbour Hotel over the road. http://www.littlegoodharbourbarbados.com/restauran... T: 246-439-2604
Bookings were essential for both when we were there!!!!
