Anyone know of any little wrinkles for parking at LGW where I can leave a car for a week and not have to risk a door ding or three? Such as, try floor X and there's an angled space at the far west corner, etc? Or somewhere other than the airport car parks to park? I've had my fair share of such issues in the past (came back once to find an Audi buried in my rear bumper, owners had gone on their merry way and left it like that) and I may have to take a vehicle to the airport next month which I'd really rather not get damaged. Thanks.

Try Just Park to leave it on someone's drive and get a cab/train

Taxi from home is the obvious answer. Not that I’ve ever had an issue with the official long stay car park.

That’s probably what I’ll do, yes.

I had this concern when we went Sking for a week flying from Gatwick in Feb. I wanted somewhere to leave my Cayenne. I found that the website for Gatwick Airport Parking listed out the sizes of the parking bays. There is quite a difference. I chose the medium length stay multistory at North terminal. The bays are the biggest listed at 5M by 2.5M. Added bonus was a short covered 5 min walk to the terminal. The pre booked cost was reasonable, from memory it was £85 ish. The bay was indeed a decent size and the whole process was seamless. Happy punter. I have used it again since.

That's good to know, thanks.
