Hotel near Covent Garden for tonight

I like the Rosewood, High Holborn if I'm going posh which is pretty rare these days due to the price changes in the last few years. I really like the layout, it's pretty calm and the bar is good. (although not had a drink for two years so can't give an up to date review of the drinks)

Priced, to the pound, the same as the Savoy. I'd probably choose the latter, because I know it to be very good. It may be my favourite actually.Furbo said:

Tbh if you really like a hotel at this sort of level it's difficult to see why you should try anywhere else unless there is a serious offer on.There may well be hotels some people think are better than the savoy but it's personal preference over fine margins.
Have a good night!
I booked the Savoy. It was disappointing.
The king double room was large, but dull. Like a chain hotel on steroids.
The wifi was patchy.
They delivered the breakfast order wrong and, when it did all arrive, it was bland.
At the American bar, the waitress gave us the wrong drinks (reversed). When I'd taken a sip and noticed, she simply swapped the drinks over - after I'd drunk from the glass.
The dining managed comped the breakfasts, but they were not removed from the bill. I explained to the receptionist that they needed to be, but he did not understand. In the end I gave up and asked him ti get a manager to call me later. I have received no call...
Not like it used to be and not worth the £1800 asking price.

Is anything like it used to be ? London certainly isn't in general. The king double room was large, but dull. Like a chain hotel on steroids.
