Hanoi - cheap hotel recommendations

PBJnr1 is backpacking around and will be spending time in Hanoi on her way back to Straya - and is looking for a cheap, cheap hotel to book for 4-5 days around mid-August.

Cheap = backpacker willing to trade up a bit from a hostel, not PH Cheap which can sometimes mean it only uses a Range Rover for the airport transfer…

I’ve never been and there appear to be hundreds to choose from - anyone here have any recent’ish recommendations??

I stayed somewhere cheap cheap years ago, so it would be out of date now. It was fine. Stay in the old town, download Grab to get around
