I've got some Ryanair flights booked to Italy in June.

If they get cancelled, how much notice is there likely to be? Days? Hours? Hotel offers free cancellation for three days before check in, after that you're paying the full cost of the reservation.

Your travel insurance should cover it if the airline doesn't.

Ryanair said today that Europe now has enough fuel to avoid cancellations although fares will probably increase for those who haven't booked yet.

I saw the ubiquitous Simon Calder saying the opposite but I'll call tomorrow and check

I know they're are some circumstances they won't pay, war being one of them (a couple of colleagues had that issue when US/Iran kicked off while they were abroad and flights with changes in the middle East got canceled), so now you've got me wondering. Definitely worth checking.
