Need 3-4 days away somewhere warmer than UK. Anytime from 5 April - 14 April, flying from Exeter, Bristol, Bournemouth or possibly Cardiff at sensible times, ie. not 6am.

Ideally around a 1000-1200 if it can be done.

Running out of ideas other than Malaga (which we've done ++) or Mallorca (where we have family and go a few times a year anyway)

Marrakesh.

Some people don't like Marrakesh but I think it's great and has its own particular flavour. Great food too.

Many many people think it’s an unhygienic, unsafe, third world, sh*thole.

I'm not sure I would put it in quite those terms, but it's not very high in the list of favourite places I've travelled to. Conversely, I really like Essaouira - it does have an airport but I'm not sure if anyone flies there from the UK anymore (the Luton route was cancelled ages ago).

But it should be easily within budget, fair few good restaurants, the old town is interesting and it's much less stressy than Marrakesh in terms of people trying to sell you stuff. Even if you had to come into Marrakesh, private pre-booked road transfers are pretty cheap and take a couple of hours. Coaches are much cheaper, but take a while and I'm not sure I would want to be messing around with them if I was only going away for a short break in any event.

Have you been?

I guess for some folk their nearest flat roof pub on the edge of their sink estate is quite acceptable.

It’s a good job we don’t all like the same things!

It's very nice ( a very few of the locals in the Souks can be irritating but you'll be fine if you practice your RBF biggrin ).

For mid-April I'd be tempted to go to Agadir - a bit warmer and more of a "fly and flop" place (if that's what the OP wants).

Yep, 12 days there, I’d not return, many a thread on here where loads jump in and say the same.

Daft to fly past Spain, Italy or france to visit there…..

Or Portugal. If beaches are not a must-have then Lisbon takes some beating for a warm city break. Awesome place.

I was going to say Lisbon, one of the nicest European cities I've visited recently.

EasyJet holidays website, departure date 9th April +/- 3 days, departure airports Bristol/Southampton (stretching Bournemouth a bit), destination anywhere. I’m assuming 2 adults. When the search runs, refine for your preferred flight times etc. Filter out destinations you don’t fancy.

I don’t see preferences on board etc, so how about 4 nights Full Board plus at a 4 star, 4 dot hotel in Dubrovnik, leaving Bristol on 12th, 1310 on the way out arrives 1655, 1740 on the way back arrives 1935, £739 including transfers, bags etc

Yep. We flew from Edinburgh to Lisbon. Spent 3 days in an Airbnb and then got the train to Faro. A day on the beach in the Arlgarve and then flew back to Edinburgh from Faro. Cheap as anything (£1,200 for the two of us for 6 days including airport parking and all food/presents for the kids and grandparents) and really good fun. We will be back in Lisbon soon.
