Euro Banger Rally
Discussion
Hi chaps - wonder if I could ask for some opinions on Motor Museums in Stuttgart....
I help organise 'The Wacky Rally' ... for 2026 we have a new itinerary ending in Maranello/Bologna in Italy with a visit to the Ferrari Museum.
One of our overnight stops en-route will be in Stuttgart, where ralliers can visit the Porsche or the Mercedes Museums.
Can anyone advise how much time you would recommend to visit either...? Just thinking a general tour of either museum, rather than in depth, spend-all-day there type thing...
Very grateful if anyone that has visited, could let me know your thoughts please?
Thanks very much in advance!

I live in Ludwigsburg, so very close to both museums.
Both are worth visiting but I would say that the Mercedes Museum is a longer visit than the Porsche Museum. It is bigger and more interactive, the Porsche one is basically one hall with cars. I would say Mercedes is 3 hours to do it properly, but could be done quicker if needed. Porsche is probably 1-1.5 hours, but you could do it in half an hour if pushed.
Be aware that both museums are closed on Mondays.
