You & me Maldives
Discussion
I’ve been a couple of times. It depends what you’re getting for £1300 per night and what star resort.
You only live once, if you have the means then why not. I would say though if it’s worth the risk, you may get a better rate to book those extra nights whilst you’re on the island. We were offered a great rate on a water bungalow during our holiday. Obviously no guarantee and depends on your flight arrangements.

Hi. I ve booked 10 days for my bucket list Maldives trip. £1300 a night to extend our stay for two nights.
Anyone been? I know only I can decide if it s worth the extra money but I need someone to justify my man maths.
For me, 10 days in the Maldives would be long enough and 2x £1,300 would fund a lovely long weekend City break later in the year.Anyone been? I know only I can decide if it s worth the extra money but I need someone to justify my man maths.
I agree that 10 days is more than enough in one resort. By the end you will have done all the activities a few times, eaten in all the different restaurants probably more than once, done a few of the spa treatments. Seen a lot of lovely fish. Personally for 12 nights there I would do two resorts but I appreciate that is not to everyone’s tastes.

10 days there is more than enough IMO. I'd be using the money it would cost to extend to fund something different. Anyone been? I know only I can decide if it s worth the extra money but I need someone to justify my man maths.
I’ve been to you and me Maldives twice. It’s a great adults only resort. When are you going?
I think 10 nights is perfect. We have been three times and are heading to Komandoo tonight from Heathrow for 10 nights for Mrs Interstellars 50th.
We love it there, it’s paradise.
Couple of tips, if you’re not a big drinker and you don’t wanna get drunk every day do not go all inclusive as it’s very expensive to upgrade. Likewise, if you don’t want to sit in the restaurant all day stuffing your face only go half board as the upgrade a full board is actually much more expensive than you’d normally pay for lunch. We tend to just have a nice breakfast and take some fruit from it and because of the heat there you really don’t feel hungry and we often go from 10 am breakfast to 8 pm dinner without getting the munchies.

We tend to do 11/12 nights in the Maldives as its a bit of a schlep to get there. If it has a house reef and you can snorkel you'll rarely get bored, I wouldn't go to a resort without one to be honest but I can understand those who don't think its important as it paradise personified.
You & me has a solid reputation but no house reef. Probably worth it for no kiddos mind and the dining options.
As mentioned Komandoo is a solid shout, no kids, also has a house reef, loads of turtles and access to an underwater restaurant on a nearby Island.
