We've been to Tenerife the past couple of years for a week during the Easter school holidays. Enjoyed that but considering other possible destinations for a change. We have two boys, 11 and 9, both are pretty fussy eaters and like things like a decent pool to muck about in. Kids clubs/entertainment of no interest. Prefer not to hire a car when on holiday so ideally somewhere with stuff like beach, shops etc. nearby. Where else besides Tenerife is good that time of year?

It's Canaries or long haul.

You can't really beat the Canaries for a decent week of sunshine out of season (without spending significantly more or getting particularly lucky with the weather elsewhere).

It’s been more than a decade but we went to a, I think, Riu on AI in Marrakesh with our son. All the pros and cons of AI and school holidays but warm and full of other boys to get up to mischief with. Morocco worth a look.

As might be Madeira (not all OAPs these days) and Cyprus will be warm.

Thanks. Hadn't considered Cyprus despite having been there before. Quick look suggests a week there is a few hundred quid cheaper than the place we went to in Costa Adeje last two easters.

As for the other Canaries, where's good?

Edit, sorry not AI

Stayed here in Feb 24 half term with wife and 5 year old daughter. Thought it was good value, near the beaches and restaurants.

Thanks all. Ended up booking Tenerife again but a different hotel and area. We were close to booking Cyprus as you seem to get more for your money there, but most places don't have heated outdoor pools (they all seem to have them in Tenerife), and reviews mostly said the pools were too cold to use early in the year so that kyboshed the Cyprus plan. After having a mini ice-age last week here in Aberdeen I cannot wait for some sun...

Just be sure the thermal shock of the warm doesn't shatter you! I'm not jealous!
