BA discount, ex employees

I'm looking to get 2 tickets to New Orleans from Heathrow for a family member so she can see her brother.
She is late 80s and he is 93, and they lost their other brother last year.
Between the family they have well over 50 years BA service working mostly out of Heathrow.
I am astounded BA don't look after ex employees. I have spoken to BA and no discounts and they won't even upgrade them. I find this really rum, considering they worked so long and never used free or discounted when working with BA.
Does anyone know of any discount codes I can use on the BA UK site to make this slightly less expensive? Due to age and ability, I am looking at Premium economy and have found the cheapest flight options in November to help. I have tried the voucher sites but no codes work. Some of the cheap flights companies will save £50 but I have never heard of them and can't afford to loose out.
