Parking in Epernay
Discussion
Hi
Any recommendations for 'safe' parking in Epernay for a fortnight in May would be warmly received
I am driving down for a cycle touring holiday and would like to leave the family shed somewhere reliable such as when I get back to it 2 weeks later I can just jump in and drove back to Calais/Leeds
The car is honestly nothing special although wearing UK/foreign plates could potentially attract attention if parked on the street for a couple of weeks
I can see from Google maps that theres a central underground car park. No issues paying whatever it takes but if anyone could vouch for its security Id be very grateful let alone suggest an alternative
Cheers

We’ve stayed in central Epernay a few times now - no problems with the central underground car park. Nice wide spaces (a bit like Q-Park) well lit & barrier access & egress. Would definitely recommend it ((I have a 718 Boxster and have no issues leaving it there). One thing to bear in mind, it’s pretty big and make sure you note your parking space number as it’s easy to lose your bearings when you’re in there - don’t ask me how I know!Any recommendations for 'safe' parking in Epernay for a fortnight in May would be warmly received

France is the EU country most visited by foreign tourists. There will be many other foreign plated cars about while you are there, there is no reason why your car might be targeted.
Turn up in a 75-plated Parisian car and you might possibly have something to worry about.
I feel certain that you will have a great holiday, immerse yourselves and enjoy the delights that the French countryside has to offer.
