Hi there all, just had some really high quotes for travel insurance to Malaysia/Singapore, in the region of £300 to £500 for three weeks.
Last year and last week the pricing was £90 to £120, anyone else had any significant increases recently??

Earthquakes? What's an annual quote?

Not done an annual quote as the trip to Malaysia will be the only one outside uk for sometime to come.

Ours is about to renew.
Annual for world wide cover (4 people) was slightly less than last year - think it was just under £400.
We only need 3 people on it this year which dropped it to under £300 - but also only need Europe which dropped it to under £100.
This was with Admiral.

Insurance for a trip to Europe was cheaper for us this year than last.

At those sort of prices are you better off looking at a packaged bank account which includes family ww travel insurance? E.g Nationwide is £18 per month (and includes some other things too).

Unless you are over 70 or have specific requirements I guess.

I had a quote for an annual joint policy worldwide excluding USA with reduced cover which was significantly more than last year with the same company. Only difference is that I will be 65 this year.
