Just wondering if anyone has been?
Due to a change in connecting flights i will now have a few hours and a night in Seoul.
I will land at 1250 on a Saturday and fly out 1220 on the sunday.
I believe it is about an hour each way from city to airport. Sobi guess that leaves me around 4-5 hrs then a dinner to do something before jumping into bed for my flight the next day.
Looking at a few youtube videos there doesn’t seem tk be a whole heal to do so this may be enough!
Any recommendations of places to stay, go and ear would be appreciated.
Tempted to stay at an airport hotel as may be easier to just dump bags and then travel into the city, and in the morning i would get more of a lie in.
Two adults no kids.
Thank you for any help.

I think there is plenty to do but you are pushed for time IMO. It's a very large place and it takes time to get about. Though the subway is reasonably fast.
National Museum. N Seoul Tower. War Memorial you could probably do. As they're close-ish together. And then probably a hotel in that vicinity near one of the parks. So you can get back to the airport on time.
Or maybe just get an airport hotel and then train into Seoul and have a late one. Fairly sure you'd be able to get back to the airport on the subway just about any time. But worth checking.

I remember doing something like this on a stop over in India.
I barely saw anything and just knackered myself out.
I’d stay near the airport, in Incheon (looking at a map). Check out tripadvisor or a youtube video to find a good restaurant / local market for dinner, walk around a bit and just get a flavour. You won’t go wrong with Korean BBQ place.
That travel time between the airport and Seoul doesn’t include standing around for the train, getting to the station etc. Door to door to a sight in Seoul, you are probably looking at 2 hours each way. Not to mention collecting bags at the airport, checking in the next day etc. Add another 2 hours for each of those, at least.
Airport hotel and a cab to Incheon for Korean BBQ would be even less stress, and more resilient if your flight is delayed. If you land 6 hours late, would you want to get a train to Seoul, arrive at the hotel at 9pm, sleep, then schlep back again in the early morning having seen precisely zero?
Given the time you have, going to Seoul is probably unnecessary stress.
