Hi all,

Happy Friday!

We are embarking on a small 5 day cruise in August with Royal Caribbean, which is the first time we've been on a cruise since our honeymoon in 2006 smile For context we will probably spend the night before departure in a premier inn nearby and we can board from 11am onwards so hopefully no mad rush.

There seems to be a lot of options for parking in Southampton, ones that pick up the car for you, others that you drive to but keep the keys.

When I look at the reviews it seems that certain places have a good year then something changes and there are a few complaints depending on the time of year. The question I have is what parking have people found best to use recently in the last few months? any recommendations? Would parking on someone's drive be a better option perhaps with a Just Park type app.

Cheers,

Austin

My preference would be:

https://www.abparking.co.uk

That's the official one and I've never had a bad experience with them.

However, if you're staying over at the Premier Inn at West Quay, the multi-storey next door isn't a bad shout. Parked in there plenty of times. Can trundle down to the port at leisure then.

Just to say I agree with this, used it a couple of times, short walk and car is safe.

Definitely AB Parking, right at the port, super-simple.

Anyone know why they don't support P&O? I'm doing a cruise with them later this year and gone with the included car parking for now, but looks like they keep the keys, which I'm not too happy about.

Just contracts dependent on who owns the cruiseline.

P&O would be under Carnival which means their parking is with:

Never had an issue with them either to be fair, chances are there'll keep the keys as your ship may well be docking in a different terminal to the one you depart from. So they'll move your car etc.

I have some relatives going on one in July, the hotel they are staying in the night before has an arrangement for people to leave their cars there.

The consensus I'd read a while back also seemed to be AP, I'll check them out.

Cheers!
