Paris - Hotel Recommendations
Discussion
My girlfriend and I are planning our wedding for late July 2025 and have settled on several days in Paris, via Eurostar, for a break immediately after, with a long haul destination later in the year.
We'd like a comfortable, high quality and nicely designed hotel to use as a base to explore the city. Can anyone recommend somewhere they have stayed that meets the bill without being ruinously expensive?

I used to stay at the Hotel Westminster: https://www.warwickhotels.com/hotel-westminster
- good location
- gym with steam room- nice after a days walking around
- nice bar
- There is a 1* michelin restaurant 'Le Celedon' attached, but at weekends it trims down to 'Le Petit Celedon' and serves an excellent and well priced set menu
Good luck with the wedding & honeymoons

Hotel La Tamise
Maison Armance
Spoilt for choice in Paris really, but these two are both perfectly located gems, with classy design and fit-out, and wonderful staff - and are both very nice, but not crazy expensive. Personally I prefer la Tamise (FWIW) but always stay in one or the other when we're in Paris. The rooms are tiny, of course.

I have regularly stayed over the years at the Jeu de Paume, a converted C17 Real Tennis court on the Île St Louis, 10 minutes walk from Notre Dame over the bridge and along the quays. Lots of good restaurants within a short walk too

Rather depends on your budget of course roadie.
How much do you wish to spend per night?
There is also the reality of the pay off, ie your new wife will not consider all per night £ as equal and as such the per night £ will carry a greater weighting in Paris than it does most other places. You will benefit directly in relation to this scale.

Thank you for all the responses, really appreciated.
I think a budget of ~250 euros a night is probably reasonable and potentially enough to find somewhere nice.
My girlfriend has been a couple of times before with friends and family and has advised that air conditioning is highly desirable. I've not visited the city before and am really looking forward to exploring it.
We've experienced small rooms elsewhere and don't have any particular issue with this, as we tend to only use hotel rooms as a base and only returning to rest or sleep. That said, if there were a pool or spa it would a nice addition for relaxation.
