So after playing pin a tail on the donkey for a holiday I've ended up putting a pin on DR for 2 weeks in October.

I'm travelling solo and I've booked a AirBnB in Punta Cana (Bavaro beach) with sea views. I'm also travelling to Miami for a few days during the holiday and then back to DR for last few days. The Miami bit I already have ideas for what to do as there are a few specific things I want to explore

But what to do solo in Punta Cana ? I've had a rummage around TripAdvisor, Viator etc and have a couple of ideas .... But would like to hear from PH on anything that you've done over there and enjoyed.

I currently have a day trip to Los Haitises National park pencilled in, along with La Hacienda park, but other than lazing by a pool or on the beach I've not had anything really jump out at me as yet.

Any recommendations welcome (dont forget I'm in AirBnB and solo)

Just 2 weeks ago come back from a couple of weeks at Bavarro beach (stayed at the grand palladium).

I can recommend a day trip to Saona Island, its a nature reserve, so no hotels etc, but very pretty and where, I believe, some of the pirates of the Caribbean was filmed.

There's a chap I've seen on Youtube that does lots of content from Punta Cana => https://www.youtube.com/@Coolist

I've only watched his Vegas content, so no idea what he has said about other resorts, but he travels solo and seems to get out to lots of places.

That was sort of on my list as well .. It does look nice - was it very busy though as I've seen a few threads where its basically overrun and you cannot (from what see) get a decent space to yourself

That is an obvious option .. I may investigate ... although I'm not really a party person ;-)
