Ideas summer sun last two weeks of August 2025.

Due to our kids holiday club closing for the last two weeks of August this is when we've tended to do our family summer holiday as we have to take the time of work then too.
Last 3 years we've been to Fuerteventura in the Canaries. It's been a winner as despite it being peak holiday season we've stayed in villas and this year a AI hotel for <5k for a a family of 4 which has felt like decent value. We can fly from the Scottish airports which seems to make a difference as their schools are back during this period.
Wife fancies a change next summer but one of the main things I've liked about Fuerteventura is it's hot but not baking-ly so tops out at 30 and a breeze rather than mid to high 30s I expect you'd find in the med. I like eating out but the whole AI thing hasn't been too bad with the kids and have still eaten out.
Kids will be 9 and 6. Would consider longer haul but not sure what you're getting over shoter haul vs the flight time. Quite a wide brief but if anyone else has been in a similar boat, open to suggestions.
