Another Canaries (or similar) thread - late October

A few years ago, when we were after a quick autumn escape before what turned out to be another Xmas lockdown, I got some great advice on where to stay on Lanzarote from the PH massive.
So now I'm back for another go - either another spot in the Canaries, or a similarly easy-access location that should be warm and sunny (early/mid 20s) in late Oct. Lanzarote (we stayed in Playa Blanca old town) was great but I'd rather try somewhere new if poss.
What I'm after is a nice little town (small to middle-sized) with bars and restaurants in walking distance, chilled out but not completely dead;) By the sea and with a beach (for swimming rather than sunbathing so doesn't have to be a huge expanse of golden sand) and within easy driving distance of some decent hiking trails for day walks of up to 15 miles or so.
Will prob stay in an apartment or AirBnB so more interested in locations than specific hotels if you see what I mean.
Promise to raise a glass to the poster who comes up with the winning suggestion;)
