We are in St Peter Port for a few days followed by four days in Sark, we brought the car so we could tour Guernsey, but the four days we are in Sark is proving a challenge as all public parking offers far less time than we need.
I have established that the airport parking maybe an option but we have a tight schedule on final day to get onto ferry back to Poole, so is not ideal.

Can anyone help me please ?

Airport parking is quite expensive. There are some options slightly out of town that aren't time limited though, one quite close to the airport. However I guess you'd need walking distance to the port though?

I’m happy to pay, it’s more about convenience really

There are permit spaces available, you need to get the permits from Sark shipping (where you get the boat tickets from). It's a faff as there are limited spaces, for some reason they keep it very cloak and dagger, and you can't pre book, so have to hope there is something available. They will be able to give you more details (01481) 724059. I think it's £15 per day.

If you can find a 23 hour parking space you are highly unlikely to get a ticket in 4 days - those limits are more intended to stop people dumping cars, so aren't keenly patrolled

Even in a 5 or 10 hour space, it would have to be a particularly vindictive traffic warden to give more than one ticket in that period... but could happen (a single parking ticket is £55, vs. £60 for 4 days' permit, so could even work out cheaper!!)

When are you in Sark?

We go to Sark on Friday, I was told about the permits, but there was a sensation of jeopardy that I prefer to avoid

Airport is £20 a day. 15 mins cab journey from Weighbridge to airport...£15 to £20 cost.

ETA: £20 probably quite cheap compared to the UK!

Thanks, but according to SWMBO is a lot of messing about, which is rich coming from an expert faffer

Haha, not much I can say to that, other than offer you some taxi numbers! There's also buses. but given the amount of roadworks we currently have on the island they could be a lottery especially if you are pushed for time.
