Hi All, will be travelling in Germany next month and staying near the ring. Hoping that we can get some lunch or a coffee with a spot where we could watch some of the people going round the track. Any ideas? The slightly tricky part is we will have dogs with us so needs to be dog friendly. Google hasn't been a huge amount of help.

Definitely not looking for anything fancy.

If it's fine grab a coffee and head to the bus stop. Great viewing there and because it's outside no issues with dogs. thumbup

As in the GP circuit or the Nordschleife?

If it's the latter then viewing points are well documented. Not sure what constitutes dog friendly though. Maybe best leave them in the car if they're a bit nervous.

Sorry, yeah the Nordschleife.

Not nervous but not all places accept dogs. Thanks I'll check out the list.

Edit: Bistro cockpit looks perfect. Much appreciated

Can you take a car around the ring with a doggo in the back? Are there any ring Doggo's? Is that a thing? bounce

Pretty sure Misha did once. I wouldn't personally, they wouldn't be adequately strapped in in case something went wrong imo.

You can have a coffee and a snack at the Bistro Cockpit but you certainly can't watch the track from there.

My suggestion would be to pop into the Rewe supermarket in Adenau, you can get all of the grub and coffees to go from the bakery inside the supermarket and then drive to any of the viewing points (i.e. Brünnchen), park up, and sit with the dogs at the side of the track and have a picnic. Much nicer than sitting in the cockpit next to the main road.

Thanks for the tip, that sounds ideal.

The website above mentioned it was a short walk from the Cockpit to a viewing point so that sounded good.

A very short walk across the main road and up some steps, that's correct.

I'd still rather take some filled rolls and a couple of coffees / cokes to Brünnchen myself though. biggrin

Here's some GPS coordinates for parking for various viewpoints for the 'ring - you'll be fine with a dog at all of these.

Quiddelbach 50.34274, 6.93097
ex-muhle 50.37677, 6.95042
brunchen (great views) 50.36988, 7.00797

circuit entrance at 50.34660, 6.96586 if you did decide to do a lap
