Scuba mask upgrade
Discussion
Cheap leaky mask last year on a dive was a real pain, was off the dive boat with a group and constantly clearing it was annoying to say the least. Heading back for some more diving shortly and want to upgrade. Is it worth paying a fair chunk more for something like a Cressi ? Any info welcome, apologies if I've posted in the wrong forum...
If you can get to a dive shop/ diving centre, try on as many masks as you can. Don't put the strap on, hold it against your face and breath in a little through your nose. Pick the one that stays on your face that stays on when you bend forward without holding it on.
If you have a beard trim it close for the holiday.
You pay a lot to go diving you want to enjoy it without constant mask clearing.

OP: What "That's you there" said ^^^^
Cressi, Mares ....whichever fits you the best, facially and your pocket.

They're not for scuba diving, but they're OK for snorkelling beginners.
Where the items are listed as "Diving mask", that's for scuba.
Scuba divers need to equalise.

Have you tried those full face, centre pipe ones? They seem very popular.
We have bought one but not used it yet.

Head to your nearest shop and try them on IMHO. Some have odd fittings and I think you need to put them on to see how they "suction"........... Then you can narrow down the ones that fit by budget and away you go. I can go look up what make mine is if you want, packed away from when we came back from holiday mind...
