Hi,

Were going to Spain in August staying in Salou, booked a trip to Barcelona so the kids can see the football stadium.
Should we be concerned about the anti tourist protests? I've seen people spraying tourists with water (not exactly harmful but not pleasant either)
Were staying in a hotel (no Airbnb). Flying with Jet2. Wife, me and our 2 kids (14 &16).

Anyone had issues this year?

Thanks,

Dave

Just got back from 6 weeks in Spain (and Portugal) and didn't see a sniff of any protests. We were in Valencia, Seville, Granada and Nerja as well as San Sebastian and Logrono

15 million people visit Barcelona every year, maybe 20 people got caught up in a publicity stunt.

I think you'll be fine.

I'd be more concerned with the behaviour of the stereotypical Brit in Salou itself.

I assume all the protestors have signed up to a contract among their leaders that they themselves will never go on holiday from then onwards, I'd like the orange folk that block roads to have to surrender their driving licenses and airport blockers to surrender their passports as well, it would never happen of course.
