Couldn't find a related topic so had to start yet another Passport thread.......

Can you renew a passport but then request to pick it up on a STANDARD renewal ?

There's a £200+ service that is same day pick up, but don't really want to pay that unless I have to.

The normal service seems to be delivery to your doorstep, singed for, but no knowledge of when it might arrive.

I'll try and ring them tomorrow but I'm already getting anxious about how that might go

Renewed my passport online last month on June 12 and posted old one off same day, just went for standard delivery and had my new one delivered to me on June 18
