Anyone been to Formentera ?

Thinking of going start of sept for a week .

Hotel doesn't look that amazing (insotel)but the beaches look well worth it .

It's 10 years since I went there for a week. If you like beaches then yes, it's OK but I recall it being expensive, food catering for tourists and the hotel being a bit crappy with bad service.

It appeals to a certain kind of tourist who is mainly looking just to sit on a beach to escape the stress of being back home. It was the holiday when I realised that it's not for me.

A friend has since been and they loved it. Sat on the beach for a week and came back brown.

Been a couple of times, but just on day trips from Ibiza.

I’m not sure I could hack a week there, as there is very little to do except sunbathe. Very good for a day or two, but not so sure about 7.

There are a number of restaurants and a range of prices, as with anywhere the more you go in tourist places the higher the prices. When I first went I was expecting there to be nothing at all there, like a small Greek island, but there is actually a bit more to it including a town with a reasonable size population so you can go to the locals restaurants and spend less.

If you like beaches, they are amazing (best in the Med), and there are some interesting sights on them!
