Hello - looking for a few recommendations for small, preferably owner-managed, 4* plus hotels or private villa/cottages to rent in Antigua. Somewhere private, quiet but with good local restaurants and bars (including good on-site food and drink options if a hotel).
Not fussed about water sports and absolutely loathe any form of organised activities but a nice pool and within very short distance of pretty beach or beaches would be great.

We just came back in May from Antigua Hammock Cove resort. ~40 villas, adult only, All Inclusive, fine dining restaurant. We really enjoyed it. Rooms were great, food very good (but only one real restaurant for the evening) and it's very relaxed. Service was really good aswell.

However, it's in the middle of no where (right next to Devils bridge....walking distance) so doesn't tick the boxes on some of your requirements but for anyone looking for 5* AI with great rooms and delicious food it ticks the boxes.
