Quite a few years back now, but I used https://www.campbellirvinedirect.com/ to insure our car for an overland trip which went through Turkey.

I have driven through Turkiye twice in the last year, first was west to east and then returned the other way but a different route. I am fully insured for Turkiye with N.F.U. and N.F.U. were great, Turkish customs not so great.....

When I exited Greece and reached Turkish border control I was not allowed to enter Turkiye until I had bought the Turkish government insurance. Upon leaving for Georgia I had to pay for a traffic violation and nobody could explain what fine was for. Entering Turkiye from Georgia I had no problems apart from customs insisting I emptied my car of every single item.

I would recommend you have a few copies of every bit of insurance & vehicle paperwork, especially your green card. Speak to your insurance provider to see if any of their customers have experienced problems at the Turkish border.
