My understanding is that this is the Welsh equivalent of the NC500 as far as the scenery is concerned.

I was thinking of doing it during school term time this year, so less traffic, and looking to take my time, stopping off here and there, find a decent hotel for each night and move on the next day.

Has anyone done it, did you pre-book hotels in advance or just chance it and hope you’d find somewhere to stay.

Have a look at this: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

We’ve just completed the route as per the first post on link above in my 992 Targa 4S, over 3 days/3 nights, and it was fabulous! - especially the 'left hand' / western half of the route

I’m writing this in our final night hotel before Chester zoo and home to the north east tomorrow I can share more in a few days including some hotel recommendations and how to plan the route on Google maps, which is a bit clunky…
