Santorini with a cave pool?
Discussion
Big wedding anniversary coming up next year and the other half of the marriage would like to go to Santorini and have a cave pool.
I started doing some research and now that I’ve had some counselling over the prices I thought I should ask on here to see if anyone has been and if they have any recommendations for somewhere to stay? Cave pool is apparently a deal breaker and we’re looking late summer/early autumn.
As always all suggestions of where to stay/eat and other things to do and see gratefully received.

No cave pool but we got married here: https://www.nobuhotels.com/santorini/?utm_source=g...
It was before it had a small renovation and became part of the Nobu chain, we've been back many times but the whole island has become eye wateringly expensive now. If you are going I'd suggest the best town to stay is Imerovigli. It's much less busy and crammed in than Oia and the sunset view is better. Do not be tempted by the cheaper prices around Perissa Beach area, you might as well be on any other Greek island.
If you are going to Santorini you are going for the stunning Caldera views and you simply don't get that on the other side of the island.

Very useful, thank you. To be honest, I think it's become far more expensive than it has any right to be, some of the numbers I've been quoted are shocking, but it's something my wife has always wanted to do, so I will just have to suck it up. Or try and convince her to do Paris instead It was before it had a small renovation and became part of the Nobu chain, we've been back many times but the whole island has become eye wateringly expensive now. We also got married in Santorini, just outside Imerovigli which is where I'd also recommend you stay. The villa we stayed in didn't have a pool, not a lot do on that side of the island due to the hotels being build into the cliff face.. Imerovigli is iseal though. Close to Fira but away from the cruise ship chaos, and also not paying Oia prices. Got married here but they didn't do accommodation at the time https://leciel-santorini.com/
Stunning views.
Some of our guests stayed here, and it was brilliant. https://www.astrasuites.com/
I'm pretty sure they have 'cave pools' or pool villas.

It's not just the hotel prices that have rocketed, a meal for 2 with a few drinks can easily top 200 euros. Our last visit was 2022 and we decided enough is enough and won't be going back again, well not anytime soon. When we first went, before the hotel changed hands it was known as Pantheon Villas, the owner used to let us have a room inc half board for around 170 euros a night. Now the same room is B & B for 800 euros. Bonkers for a greek island. But if you have never been before it is simply stunning. All our wedding guests were stunned by the views.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
