We are flying to Orlando at the end on July. I've been told that using the MPC app will save time getting through all the checks once we arrive.
I've heard different things about completing the details on the app.
Can you fill everything in before you depart?
I've read of people taking photos of themselves for the app while in the queues at Orlando Airport. This seems a bit strange. Why don't they do it earlier?
Apologies for the silly questions, but there is a lot of conflicting information about this app that I have read.

Almost nobody seemed to be using it Chicago week before last. It was less than clear when entering under the visa waiver program if we were eligible to use it so just went through as normal in about 40mins. Interestingly they didn't split "US Citizens/Residents" and "Visitors" into separate queues at immigration so all the US citizens had to queue with everyone else which is something I've never seen before. Judging by the comments overheard the citizens were not impressed!

Thats extremely rare / unusual - every time I have entered the US they always blat through their own citizens so quickly (as all nations should in fairness/IMO).

It annoys the life out of me when I reenter the UK and the queue is so huge thanks to not splitting citizens from the rest of the EEA/EEC/etc..

I can imagine that US citizens being made to wait with the overseas peasants wouldnt half cause some ruckus!

Thanks everyone. I'm going to have it completed and ready, just in case. Then I won't be cursing myself if there is s big queue.

As above, the new terminal C is fairly easy to get through. The old terminals were a nightmare regarding border control

Ill go against the grain here - I loathe Terminal C

I have been through it probably a dozen times in the last 12-18mths (most recently in April/May) and a couple of times ive had mega waits for immigration that have been through the snake barriers and all the way back past the carousels to the toilet area - resulting in 2+hr waits.

The car hire facility at Terminal C is also utter garbage and always understaffed (appreciate this isnt an issue for everyone) the last time I collected a car from there and couldn't skip the queue (with Dollar, but all desks were equally slow and packed) it was another 90min wait after a 2hr wait for bags and immigration - I actually find it faster to transit to the main terminal for carhire from there.

My experience of MPC is fantastic - UK passport with ESTA, with multiple entries to the IS. Used at LAX in April and was only one family ahead of us, through in 2 mins. It seems very few people know about it including US residents.

You can pre populate most of the info but will need to take a photo of each family on arrival at the gate. You submit and the get a QR code if approved.

Make sure you have a good data package for your phone.
