3 or 4 days, cheap waterpark break?

Beacause our main holiday isnt until September due to work, we usually take the kids to the sandcastle waterpark in blackpool, and have been to a few other waterparks around the uk and they are universally s
t compared to eveywhere else we have been abroad, and the breaks are expensive for what you get in return so this year i was thinking of a wee 3 to 4 day break somewhere in europe.
We were looking at aquapalace in cestlice prague or the aquaworld budapest, but we are open to suggestions for somewhere not too long a flight from Glasgow or Edinburgh, maybe Prestwick or newcastle if the difference in cost is worth the drive.
I havent booked something like this before usually just either a uk driving break or campervan trip, or a full blown 2 weeks package in the sun so not sure if a travel agent is best or just to DIY string together flights, transfers hotel etc.
Top priority is the quality of the waterpark, that is all we are really fussed about no long multi transfer journeys.
Has anyone been to either of those waterparks, are they decent ?
What other suggestions are there for decent waterparks at sensible money for a short break?
How best do I put it all together, DIY or speak to a travel agent.
Any input appreciated.

Bucharest, Romania is supposed to have one of the best and biggest waterparks in Europe.

We never made it unfortunately as the weather was surprisingly hot for October (28 degrees) and the city was absolutely buzzing.
It's also right by the airport so the train to the airport will be about £2.10 for a family of 4, and the same again for the bus.
I have been to the other cities you mention. Prague is the prettiest and should be seen at least once in your life IMO, I was lucky enough to go before it became so touristy but most of the city is still extremely affordable.
Budapest has the thermal baths which are worth looking into, although they aren't waterparks as such (no slides etc) they use natural thermal springs which results in a pool being extremely warm plus they have saunas, steam rooms etc and are often set in a grand old building. We went to Széchenyi which is the biggest (but not the nicest) and had a great time.
Bucharest is the cheapest and least touristy by far, it's also the furthest at just over 3 hours and it will have the best weather. The city itself is still a work in progress and the old town is lovely with some big restoration projects being completed soon, however it can't compete with the other 2 in this department.

Tried several travel agents but they were useless, 1900 quid room only for 3 nights in a stty looking hotel, and 2300 for somewhere that looks looks decent, still got to pay for waterpark. Crappy flight times too.
Flying out ryanair, hiring a car, staying at the aquapalace hotel with included waterpark access, then flying home easyjet, with much better times, for a very reasonable price.
Now to scope out places to eat and things to do near cestlice

Not been in, but research suggested it looks pretty good. Easy driving distance from Calais or Rotterdam.
If your flying though, Siam Park is bloody brilliant. Can be ferociously hot in the summer, take some of those neoprene shoes or you have to skip from puddle to shadow on the paving slabs else your feet will literally burn like their on a bbq!
