Aer Lingus 'throne' business class seats

Not on the A21N but I’ve got 3K (throne seat) booked on the A333 for my flight to Boston on Friday. I assume looking at aerolopa it’s the same or at least very similar?K50 DEL said:

i found it good, the seat isnt the best in the 2's especially by the window as the window seat needs to step over the aisle person. If that's not the case I'd be happy to hear it.
staff on our flights were superb though and food was very nice and they allowed me to have multiple starters and mains
for the price we paid 1k return it was worth it

Was just over half the other options
At full price I'd have been critical but the cost saving was worth the downside.

I'm most interested really in the quality of the lie-flat bed from a sleep perspective as that's what I tend to do on Stateside flights, I rarely eat and never watch the IFE so those things aren't a concern.
It was fully flat with the cubby hole set up for the feet.I found it maybe a bit firm but it was ok.
I am not particularly big at 5'11 so maybe if you are tall and/or wide it might be a bit tight.
I've flown mostly Qatar/Emirates and it's a step down from that
I flew with Aer Lingus from Heathrow to Washington via Dublin in BC. Excellent experience and we pre-cleared US customs in Dublin so when we arrived into Washington we landed as a domestic flight.
Good food and drink and the crew was decent, the only downside was that it was an A321 NEO so not the biggest of Cabins.

I doubt it’s going to be quite up to Polaris or Air Canada’s super diamond (which seems to be on most airlines in some form these days).

I flew on a Swiss A343 last year and really liked it, hadn’t clicked that the Aer Lingus seat was the same thing so now I know what to expect.
My heart sinks when the company I work for books me an Aer Lingus ticket! Especially when it’s on the transatlantic A321 - utter misery in economy.
They comfortable make my top three worst airlines along with Air Canada (truly awful and the only time I’ve been downgraded from business to economy) and ITA (I thought the leg room was a mistake until I flew with them a second and third time). KLM would be in there if it was entirely based around crew attitudes but their product is decent.
But, to be fair, the Aer Lingus business class is ok if all you care about is being able to lie flat.
If you have the option, Jet Blue’s ‘Mint’ class is excellent. I flew from Boston to Heathrow last month and was very impressed with both the service and the comfort of the seat. Really very good and very cheap for a Europe / US business class ticket. Much better than the Emirates 777 business class.

Hello from 3K. The cubby hole for your feet is quite narrow so would best suit someone who sleeps on their back rather than a side sleeper like me. The amount of storage, personal space and privacy is really good. Obviously it’s not as swanky as a Q suite or other chintzy business class but it’s quite good overall. I got an excellent deal on this fare, BA, Virgin and JetBlue all wanted about a grand more, at this price point I’m quite happy. Lunch is being served soon, the menu looks quite good. The IFE has a decent selection of films too.
Clearing US immigration took about 30 seconds. I didn’t bother with CBP MPC as there were no lines to contend with.

No one thought twice about doing it in a 757 until they largely went away and we all got used to widebodies. Could be worse could be a 737 max right?!Must get quite bumpy in the middle of the jetstream?
