Compensation claim via the Airline or 3rd party company?
Discussion
So due to Lufthansa striking, i ended up having to cancel my flights and drove down for my holiday (insert sad compo face from the Sun/Mail here).
In theory i should be able to claim (ive had this in the past with Lufthansa when Munich got hit by a snow storm in Dec '23 and they paid out as i just continued the journey in the rental car).
Ive seen its capped @ 250 Euros due to the distance but just wondered if you can get more from a 3rd party company that specialises in this sort of thing. Some of the guys at work swear blind you can but im not convinced.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks
