We're off to Dublin for IVF treatment so need someone to stay for approximately 10 days in April.

Can anyone recommend hotels/ airbnb/ holiday lets etc.

Ideally somewhere with self-catering ability but a hotel may do as long as we get a small lounge area in the room/ desk to work from.

Our clinic is just South of Dublin (Carrickmines), so happy to stay out of Dublin itself if you have good suggestions, we will have a car.

Thanks!

Plus any recommendations for day trips / restaurants as we will have lots of free time.

We stayed at the Harcourt Hotel, Harcourt Street last year. The hotel itself was fine but the noise from the nightclub downstairs was unbelievable. Fortunately there were ear plugs in the bedside table otherwise we would have had no sleep at all!

Try getting a short term let in Greystones. It's nice there with everything you need shops/cafes and easy access to Wicklow.

Failing that, Bray, Ballybrack, Dalkey.

If you want to go into Dublin just dump your car on a residential street somewhere near the Dart line (or Luas) and get the train in. Otherwise I would avoid the City.

Depending on your budget you could check Powerscourt Hotel (5 star) or Glenview Hotel (4 Star). All hotels along Bray Seafront should be avoided as Stag do's etc.

There's plenty to see and do outdoors in Wicklow (Glendalough for a start) and the coast of South Dublin between Sandymount and Dalkey is nice to walk around with hundreds of decent cafes, restaurants and pubs.

If it's raining, you are probably stuck with going to Dundrum Shopping and Cinema.
