Having just got back last night I'm off again from Bristol for the Easter week 1-5. Silverzone only showing 28-5 as a minimum booking so being pushed to shortstay or multi-storey at nearly twice the price! 100+!

Any suggested alternatives?

Sadly the long stay car park is closed for a long time due to rebuilding. So the other car parks are in higher demand and more expensive. There are a couple of other car parks nearby. I think one is called the airport tavern, but I may be wrong.

Isn’t there a web site where people rent their driveways out?

Is getting a taxi to/from the airport an option?

Airport Tavern has some very bad reviews and has appeared in the local press a few times.

I'm not saying they're always bad, but the place I booked near the QE Hospital in Birmingham was non-existent. They refunded me pretty quickly, but that's not really the point is it.

Does anyone know what the occupancy of the multi-story is currently like with the long stay closed?
And what happens if you arrive and there are no free spaces?
Little bit concerned will turn up and no parking spaces!

I have it booked for 13 days parking at start of March, which cost £180.
I just did another quote and coming up at £330!!

Not too keen on Silverzone with leaving keys....

With Goblin parking do you have to leave the keys?

Oh yeah as fk but super convenient and there's always tastier cars there than your own.

Easily walkable to the airport , travelling hand luggage I'd be in my car before most have got to luggage reclaim.

Bristol airport must have some of the highest airport parking prices in the world. It’s ridiculous. I try and use Heathrow instead now.

If it’s not to far, can’t a mate drop you off for a couple of quid?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Unfortunately, its a 2-hour trip from home so a taxi etc is going to be the same/more than parking each way.

Might look at the coach as that runs hourly from a mile from home but may just end up using the short term car park for convinience.

It’s pricey, but the multi storey is worth it just to start a trip in a relaxing manner.

21TonyK, have you looked at Oakwood Parking? Just past the pub on the left towards Bristol, shuttle bus drops you at the pickup/dropoff zone, reasonably frequent. I've used them a couple of times. You leave keys and they move cars around so not everyone's cup of tea, but thought it was worth suggesting.

Like some others I've given up on Bristol now due to ludicrous parking charges, and although Devon-based usually go to LHR/LGW now.

I live 28 miles from “Bristol” airport and I can get to Heathrow (60 miles away) quicker.

Worth a thought. I'll give them a ring and see about bus timings and our flights.
