I'll have around 3-4 hours in LHR next week and I'd like to meet a friend at pub/bar/restaurant nearby. One that is easy to access (tube etc), I'll have my rolling case. I land in T4 fly out T5.

Any recommendations?

Thanks, but more thinking a pub/bar type than a curry house. Plus it would be mid-later afternoon.

In Colnbrook, about ten minutes' walk from the Hilton nearest T5 is the Ostrich Inn. Went there three times when flying from T5, always impressed with the food & drink. Very pleasant decor and they have rooms. No parking for flyers but there are some people offering Justpark nearby.

You are coming into T4 and later on T5? Correct? Then why not stay at Heathrow and meet your friend at one of the many cafes and coffee bars etc on the airport.

And again this - frequented by airline staff (presumably on their way to a layover!)

Another vote for the Pheasant. When we fly Virgin Atlantic out of Heathrow T3 we always stay overnight at the Radisson as they do a good deal on accommodation and parking which is in their own car park with you taking your keys. The Pheasant is a fairly short walk up the road and is a lively pub with decent food.

Bonkers!

You are coming in to T4. You are going to go all the way round the airport to the North side, cross the Bath Road, up High street Harlington, turn left down West End Lane. Then after your meal come all the way back, but this time go all the way round to the West side of the airport to get to T5.

Madness!

I am glad I am not going with you.
