Heading for a cheeky cheap week to Turunc in Turkey at the end of April

Anyone been there or nerby and know some good things to do?

Will have hire car so can drive.

Never been to Turkey before, so looking forward to it :-)

Depends what you like doing. I stayed in Orhaniye a few years ago and did a fair bit of driving around in a hilariously crap Turkish-built Fiat knockoff. Rear wheel drive and balloon tyres were fun. Black vinyl seats in 40 degree heat less so...

Anyway, I had a nice drive to the Roman Ruins at Knidos with much of it along a dirt road.
Dalyan was also good. Took a boat trip up the river to the lake. Saw wild turtles and went to the mud baths. Then afterward got a little rowed ferry across the river and walked up to the old Roman docks of Kaunos

Went to Turunc about 25 years ago, so no idea what it is like now, but we had a fab holiday, very chilled, nice food, best snorkelling I can remember doing when we went out on a Gullet trip. Trip to the local Turkish Baths was fun.

Thanks for the replies!

We (More like me... Mrs. Haddock not so keen) like exploring archaeological sites etc... (I have a degree in Archaeology although no longer work in that field)

Also food, so looking for good restaurants etc...

We're self catering apartment, so can cook in if needed but I'm hoping eating out will be reasonably priced?

My wife is not that interested in history / buildings etc, and so we did not investigate anything, but I recall there were quite a lot of historical sites in the area
