Mauritius family oriented hotels
Discussion
We are heading to Mauritius for Easter. Flights are booked but I'm spending an inordinate amount of time trying to settle on a hotel. We're two adults and an eight year old. We'll be there for seven nights. We'll want a mix of pool, beach and nearby activities - don't particularly want to be spending a lot of time driving across the island.
There seem to be pros and cons of the North, East and West sides of the island when compared with our preferences and time of year so I think it comes down to the hotel as the deciding factor. Has to be nice, have good kids facilities and variety of food.
Having read through the threads already on PH the Oberoi doesn't seem family oriented. The Maritim reviews seem to suggest it has taken a bit of a nosedive recently.
We are looking at:
Lux* Grand Gaube - seems to tick a lot of boxes. Missus a bit perturbed by its history under former name Legends.
Constance Belle Mare Plage
Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa - bit leftfield and seems like the rooms/decor are fairly bog standard but I'm Hilton Diamond
Long Beach
Interested in any thoughts or other suggestions. I'm in analysis paralysis!

Stayed at the Maritim a few years back. Nice hotel but I'd not describe it as family friendly. Didn't see many kids there at allGassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
